Oregon is poised to launch its new single web-based interface in October 2013
This month The Children’s Partnership’s (TCP) Innovator Series shines the spotlight on Oregon.
We spoke with leaders from the Oregon Health Insurance Exchange Corporation who shared with
us their experiences in developing innovative technologies to create an integrated health insurance
eligibility and enrollment system.
Oregon is poised to launch its new single web-based interface in October 2013 that will allow
consumers to apply for insurance and learn their eligibility for health insurance tax credits and
Medicaid in real time. The new system is being built to create a “seamless” consumer experience
and will allow programs to communicate with each other in a way that the current siloed system is
unable to do. Ultimately, Oregon aims to allow individuals to also learn about eligibility and
enrollment in the state’s other social services as well.
